Mock Editing

(This video doesn't start until 0:50 and finishes at 2:20)

This is the scene when the witch would slam the potion book on the table. I did a several takes on this but I only edited two by emerging other takes together so it looks more professional and I have more angles.  I also used different types of filters to make it look more scarier and mysterious. However I don't like them filters, I will instead adjust my lighting to low key to give the connotations of tension.

Also in the first edit I speeded it up 2x to see what it looks like and on the second edit I put it in slow motion by 50% to see the difference and to see of it seems more creepier than the first edit. On both edits I included soundtrack because I will be having a soundtrack in my trailer.

In this edit there's quite a few different shots. The are three different locations in this edit

First there's the doll part when there's a voice over saying ''she's cursed already''. I tried different shot types by using a tracking shot horizontally, close up and zooming in.

On the location part, I also used different shot types to see which ones looks better. I sort of like the idea of starting from the sky and slowly coming down and then zooming in. This was behind my house, I am not using this location it's horrible and ugly. I'm hoping to film this scene in the evening so that when I edit it, I can add sound effects such as thunder and also because it will be dark.

In the final edit of the witch applying lipstick and mascara will be seen at the beginning of my actual trailer, I also speeded up one and slow motioned the other, to see the different effect it creates on me as a audience. The lighting will be bright because at this point the audience don't know what they've put themselves in for. It would surprise the audience when her character changes. The sound track will also be used.
