This foresty looking field is actually behind my house. I wanted to get an establishing shot of the woods as this shot will also be apart of my narrative. Just the lighting would be a bit darker than seen on the picture.

Ideas
In the Ouija and the Conjuring film there were old pictures of people doing communicating with spirits through spells, boards and other ways. I feel inspired to continue that convention of a horror film trailer by adding old pictures to make my trailer more creepy and mysterious. Also part of my narrative the witch (main character) has been 'gifted' witch craft from her ancestors therefore the audience will get some clues about the witches hysterical background.
In order to this, I will need to take to take pictures with people wearing old fashion english clothes and performing their ritual to communicate with the devil or dead souls.
I'm thinking of drawing or taking similar pictures and edit them in black and white. I think there were about 7 pictures in the horror trailer of Ouija.

This was my first attempt at writing up an advert for college students to read. Until I got told that it was boring and the audience will loose interest by reading the first sentence, I started to change it up to make it more appealing.
This was the finished and improved advert. I made it short and snappy. Got rid of the list because I didn't want anyone to feel intimidated and loose interest. Made the font bigger and gave useful information such as my email. Also the theme of this advert is black, orange and white to link with my genre.
This is a screenshot of the email I had sent to the technician. I had to send him the advertisement, due technical difficulties I wasn't allowed to send an email to all students with an attachment as it ruins the systems.
These two emails were sent to the staffs who deal with tutor notices.

Props

These are Halloween props from the local supermarket; Tesco. Halloween has arrived and there are alot of things in the market which is useful for my narrative, because i'm doing a horror trailer and therefore I am collecting props to use in specific scenes. For example the googly eyes, skull and wine glass will be used in the scene when my main charcater is mixing the potion before she ehads out to the Halloween party. (The eyes and the skull are made out of chocolate, I could perhaps give them to my actors after shooting:D)Eyes; 2 for £1.50
Skull; £3
Glass; £1.50
Red lipstick is needed when the main character is being introduced in the 6th frame.
Witches broomstick I purchased from Tescos. I bought this after Halloween hence why it was 25p each. My leading actress is a witch this prop will be significant to her.
I bought this cauldron from Ebay for £4.99 but in this screen shot it shows the price has increased. This is a key prop for my witch as she will be using this in one of the scenes. This is also a conventional prop for the narrative because it doesn't challenge the ideology of a witch.
These are Jars I created for my witch scene. They were inspired by witch images on google and I learnt how to create these from YouTube Tutorials. These jars were found at home and I simply designed the label with tea bag and coffe and wrote in an old style font using felt tip pen. The spiders were from eBay for £1.99.
Everything on this table are my props. The bottle with 'blood' written on, is filled with cranberry juice from Tesco. The rose I added to give a pop colour and extra effect.

Research
Here is a graph of the ages of people who answered my questionnaire. 40 people answered my survey and the common age is 15-17. This question was necessary as this will let me decide on the typical needs of different ages for a film trailer.
This is a pie chart of a genre question. Majority of the people enjoy Rom-Com whilst the second best choice of genre is Horror/Thriller. This is a good result as i'm producing a horror film.
This graph also links to the pie chart as this tells me that 19 people from my survey enjoy horror an choose to watch horror.
This question wasn't as successful as how I wanted the question to be answered. Although I wanted to know their favourite actors and actresses, I was hoping that someone would suggest an actress/actor for me that have done horror films in the past so that when I hunt an actress I could find a similar one to a professional actress from a horror to make it conventional. Instead I had to make a list of the most common actors and actresses given in the survey. Chloe Grace had done a horror film in the past.
This question was also important as I needed to know what the audience would like to see, so that they're interested to watch the film in the future. I'm also thinking of dramatic suspense, supernatural and blood.
This question will also help me in what to avoid in the narrative. Coincidently I'm not including CGI or too much blood or violence, and hopefully my actors won't be bad.
This question was asked because I can look back at the films they've mentioned so that I can get ideas on how to make it ''interesting'' and I would also like to know what was bad about Scream so that I don't do the same mistakes.
