Synopsis

My narrative will be about a witch who's born on Halloween. Her mother dies at child birth and the baby has inherited her powers of killing and psychologically disturbing other victims, the antagonist grows up by herself in the woods and eventually starts college in October. Although she struggles to maintain two personalities and identity, she makes friends with two boys and one girl, they invite her to her to a Halloween party little do they know that her supernatural powers become uncontrollable and vicious because it's her birthday. Before Halloween her friends are suspicious of her as they think she’s a bit weird whilst she’s in the forest gets her big potion recipe out and starts cooking her powers On Halloween night she turns up as an innocent doll and goes trick or treating in the dark with her friends her supernatural powers soon attack her friends, the antagonists hair and makeup changes they end up in the graveyard. Before the trailer ends it goes dark this is a pause for the audience to absorb the incident and by the time they think the trailers finished in the editing there will be a flash on the witch’s face which will quickly go off and then the title of the film will appear.

I want to name my trailer ‘’ Cursed on October 31^st ‘’ because this date is significant to the main character it also helps identify the characters personality and the genre as Halloween is related to horror.

Narrative structure- Todorovs theory.

Equilibrium- At first we see a lady screaming because she’s giving birth in the forest, the scream is a convention in horror genre. Later we see a girl walking to college; she makes friends and gets invited to a Halloween party.

Disequilibrium- She starts planning her curse in a big diary and then turns up at the party or goes tricking or treating, attacks her friends in the dark.
